Russian Federation

The Russian Federation uses the Identification Number of Taxpayer (INN) as the tax identification number for individuals and organisations. Individuals, including individual entrepreneurs using their personal tax record, have a 12-digit INN. Russian legal entities and foreign legal entities registered with the Russian tax authorities have 10-digit INNs, with foreign legal-entity INNs using the 9909 prefix.
