Paraguay
Paraguay uses the Registro 脷nico de Contribuyentes (RUC) as its taxpayer identifier. Natural persons with a Paraguayan civil identity card use the card number as the RUC base, certain refugee or stateless individuals use a tax-authority assigned 50-series base, and legal persons and other entity-type taxpayers use a tax-authority assigned 80-series base; each RUC is displayed with a verifier digit.
