Malaysia
Malaysia uses the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia TIN, known as Nombor Pengenalan Cukai, for registered individual and non-individual taxpayers. Current individual TINs use the IG prefix, non-individual TINs use category prefixes such as C, D, PT, TA, and LE, and the 12-digit NRIC is a CRS functional equivalent for Malaysian citizens and permanent residents when an individual TIN is not available.
