Latvia uses 11-digit tax identifiers. Individuals use the personal identity number, either the legacy birth-date-based format or the current randomised format introduced from 1 July 2017. Entities use an 11-digit registration or taxpayer number issued by the Register of Enterprises or the State Revenue Service.

Legacy personal identity number used as the TIN for individuals who still hold a code allocated up to and including 30 June 2017.
